Save on Energy Energy Affordability Program

Updated: Jan 9, 2022

With the cost of living going up so quickly nowadays, the Save on Energy Affordability Program is designed to help more Ontario residents save energy, reduce costs and stay comfortable at home.

Upgrades Include:
  • ENERGY STAR® certified LED light bulbs

  • Energy Efficient Refrigerator

  • Standard and handheld high-efficiency shower heads and faucet aerators for the kitchen and bathroom in homes with electric hot water heating

  • Drying line for clothes

  • Window air conditioner

  • Smart power strip

  • Smart thermostat(s) for homes heated by electricity

  • Additional attic or basement insulation

So, who’s eligible for this program?

Ontario residents who are responsible for paying their monthly electricity bill while owning a home or renting may qualify. Residents of social housing who do not pay their electricity bills may also qualify. All of the expert advice and energy-efficiency upgrades provided at both levels are completely free of charge!

Ontario residents who qualify for this level of support will have an energy-efficiency expert visit their home to identify opportunities to help them save energy, receive upgrades and replace eligible appliances. They may also receive insulation and weatherization measures. Furoy's Insulation is a registered vendor for this Green Saver program and we would be happy to assist you.
